As a film director / writer Jo made her debut with HOLDING ON in 2012. A moving short about a man’s struggle to hold on to the present as Alzheimer’s takes hold starring GORDON KENNEDY. This short film has had international recognition in festivals. HOLDING ON is distributed by Shorts International and currently in the TOP 10 Films to watch in Europe.

Jo is an award winning director/writer on the short film circuit with her first feature film script  DEIRDRE OF THE SORROWS in development with TARA FITZGERALD attached.

The Henley Fringe & Film Festival

Jo is the founder and Artistic Director of The Henley Fringe Trust – a charity established to provide professional performers with a unique opportunity to perform in Henley on Thames. In 2014 FILM was added to the programme in conjunction with The RegalPicture House Cinema. In 2017, Jo will take a sabbatical from this event whilst focusing on feature film production.
